(He shook off his thoughts as the scent of her body wash was carried into the room on the steam from the shower, reminding him of just how much he had wanted to come home to her all morning. In the same way that she took solace in him, he did in her when things were bothersome. He gathered up a couple extra towels from the linen closet and joined her in the bathroom, humming to himself quietly as he shed his clothing.. realizing with a bit of a smile that he had forgotten to take off his shoes downstairs and that for some reason he had worn his heavy combat style boots.
