Life is full of strange coincidences, and this for me is one of them. I am 31 years old (closer to 32) and I have never met my biological father, it seems that maybe I am the luckier of the two of us. I am able to forge a relationship with someone that I have no hope of meeting so it is totally on my terms. My mother died before I began thinking about looking for my bio father. And my step-father has no idea who he is (nor does anyone else).
What does this mean for you? probubly very little, maybe you will be able to overcome the attitude of your bio father and love him on your own terms instead of relaying on his reaction to you. There was a responce to your query that I found wonderful and I guess I just wanted to support that view. Love is all about me not about the object to which I love.
The one thing that I do know and what I can truely offer you is this: you belong, to the world to the universe and to yourself. Home is where you are not where your father is.
Something that has helped me feel as if I belong somewhere (there have been many days where I felt unwanted, an outcast):

You are not accidental. Existence needs you. Without you something will be missing in existence and nobody can replace it. That's what gives you dignity, that the whole existence will miss you. The stars and sun and moon, the trees and birds and earth - everything in the universe will feel a small place is vacant which cannot be filled by anybody except you.
Blessed be,
Kalon
