Mid, if Elder is the guy I'm thinking of, he played last season here in Tulsa and was in the top 5 in the Rangers farm system in several categories, though I'm not real sure about his speed. As for the Rocker part of it, what better way to contain Everett than to give him someone specific to focus on in the clubhouse, so he doesn't taint anything else? Seriously, after acquiring Van Poppel and Powell I don't really see where they needed to go after another gun, even if Rocker delivers as he did in Atlanta, but Hart says they lost 48 games last season when leading after the 6th, and if these 3 can even knock 20 games off that total, Texas should be in contention for the West, depending on how bad Oakland and Seattle fall off. Remember, Texas won the division a few years back with average starters, at best, great offense, and a very solid bullpen, so Hart's strategy here isn't unfounded, only time will tell if his personnel choices were worth it.
