Something I have thought about. I don't know if this would actually impact how anyone in the Rangers clubhouse carries themselves, but what kind of message does it send to players when the managment lets go of someone who is a leader, who comports himself with class, who is well respected (Helling is the AL Players Rep, which also gives you an idea that he is smart), yet the same managment brings in a malcontent and a moron?
I realize that these are all grown men for the most part, and that Arod isn't gonna think about all of this, and all of the sudden decide that behavior doesn't matter, and then go around beating up nuns or some such.
I guess what I am wondering here is, will it make a difference in how a player acts, if it is clear that the managment doesn't care what they do, as long as they produce?
