Tuesday April 23....
**My Mom used to do something like this back in the 60's....she used cheese whiz I think, but basically the same idea....

Parmesan Onion Strips

Metric Ingredient Imperial

1 loaf Italian white bread, sliced 1
50 ml butter, softened 4 Tbsp
2 packages cream cheese - 8 oz each 2 packages
90 ml mayonnaise 6 Tbsp
6 green onions, chopped 6
125 ml grated parmesan cheese 1/2 cup

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Directions
Cut crusts from bread. Spread one side of each slice with softened butter. Cut into strips about 1 inch wide. Place all strips on a cookie sheet and toast lightly under broiler on both sides. Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise and green onions. Spread onto buttered side of bread. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Broil until brown and bubbly. Serve at once. Serves 20.
To make ahead; wrap and freeze before broiling. To serve; thaw and broil as above.
