Absolutely horrendous challenge. John Davison says it was the worst challenge he'd seen in thirty years. The lad only received a yellow card and went on to score the penalty equaliser - the ref said to me he thought both players went high - but the reportedly said he had an obstructed view and didn't see the whole incident to another of our officials.

My view of the game was they'd probably seen us against Glossop and Lee scored three and had one disallowed, Lee Badrock who also had a good game against Glossop, was also crocked with a late challenge that went totally unpunished.

It's hard not to blame the officials when they were so poor but the fact is that we gave away a two goal lead against an ordinary outfit.
