*[a cry poured from the teacup muzzle and echoed across the track. the two, tuliped ears plastered atop the regal skull and the pair of mocha eyes rolled back. a challenging scream bled from the ashen nose. an opposing stallyon? with Samantha as his rider?! the slender fore leg rose and fell in a half circle and the sharpened hoof mauled the earth. the taunt haunches retracted and he lept the track fence with the ease of a deer. the long and silken tail lashed over the hind 'quarters and the supple neck curved. a call that meant in equus language - fight if you wish my place! was the regal question. the slender legs shifted and brought the burly bronc in front of the duo. the whiskery nose rested in the concave dip of his chest and protected him. he wouldn't allow the steed past him and he was in range for a good blow of the sturdy fore leg. he just hoped Sammy would get off the iggnorant bronc before then.]*
