Hey dude, first of all Frontflips are not easier than backflips, sad but true.
The front flips are harder because your natural tourque on ur body exerts backwards not forward! But there is one thing u said right about that....the running part only on the frontflip....don't run backwards and do a backflip! An easy frontflip would be to start running at a moderate pace not your top speed, hop once first on your downflight(when you start to feel more of a straight down force) keep your muscles tense in your legs and bend them a little more than slightly with your arms facing down, right before you land punch(jump hard and tense your legs) the ground with your feet and throw your arms up which adds extra height, than if your problem is not enough rotation then throw your arms down (keeping your hands open) on your shens just before you tuck then if you see ground after your rotation and you think u might actually over rotate it might help if you open your body out(stretch out) than you will slow down.

Now the easier flip(the backflip) is done in a standing position(the easiest postion) lower arms down, crouch down,and at the same time you jump of the ground snap your back backwards throw your head backwards, throw your arms back behind your head and tuck when you she the ground go to a semi-crouch-stand postion and land.
