Use a big enough matress or soft gym mat to start. think about what you're about to do and consider how you've seen it done. Stand on balls of your feet (your toes) with your hands in front of you at shoulder height as if you're about to dive. Swing arms back past your hips with knees bent and imediately swing them forward, jump backwards, bend backward with your hands above your head all in one motion. keep your hand above your head so to land on your hands. When I started, I use to land on my knees. Keep doing this til you get used to moving your body that way and try landing on your feet. You may heasitate in the beginning but once you get used to it, you'll have confidence to flip on any flat surface.
