Subject: Is DD actually filming any movies??

When DD left "The X-Files" his stated reasons for doing were: 1.) So he could spend more time with his family and 2.) So he could make movies.
I guess he's spending more time with his family; really wouldn't know for sure about that one. However, he does *not* seem to be making movies!! We keep hearing about these projects that he's supposedly signed up to star in ("My Dark Places", "Connie and Carla", etc.) but has he actually begun *working* on any of them?? The only thing I ever hear (and I mean that literally) of him doing lately is voice-over narrations for various documentary features on cable TV stations! Certainly that is *not* considered a "step up" from starring in an enormously popular TV show, is it:??
