As for the show, I read a couple interviews with DD about it and it sure didn't make me want to watch. DD said when he showed his wife the script she wasn't that keen on it. The character was such a bad guy. DD said he wanted to do it because he wanted to try to make an very unlikeable character likeable in some way. That seemed to be the challenge for him.

Showtime tends to have a lot of sex just for the sake of sex shows and this one sounded like, as you said, a lot of bedhopping. One article talked about how much nudity there was lately on primetime cable and this was one of the shows cited. I'm much more of a romance type of person. My favorite soap couple, who I've rambled on about on the tv board, Zach and kendall, have had some wonderful intimate sex scenes but you watch it knowing their long history and how much they love each other. To me, that's much more entertaining to see than strangers gettin' it on. I need to feel something for the characters first.
