Thsi is something i did pretty quickly. Its just so you can gat a little picture of what the land loos like. It will need to include other parts of the world as the story progresses.

*****

Tenell: to the north windswept hills, void of anything but the sort green grass that always thrives. There are broken stone buildings of a long forgotten empire. The plains finally rise high mountains, beyond that, endless tundra? No-one knows.

East of the mighty city are grand pastures stretching for many leagues. The land is alive with snakelike rivers, flowing from the mountains to the northeast, on their journey to the sea. There are many small forests in the lustrous east lands. They eventually make way for large ones, stretching into the unknown.

If one were to journey south, one would cross the steppes, and then you would run into a vast ocean. The temperature rises as one travels south. The thick trees of the north make way for the thin brittle south forests. But continue southwest, you will find impenetrable jungle.

And finally west: a huge mountain range, passable only by treacherous passes and narrow roads. Many a traveler is lost to the icy depths of the Border Mounts. If you fancy the idea of the journey through the border mounts, you could sail. But only the bravest sailor will pass by the hundreds of tiny islands that spread out from the end of the Border Mountains. Pirates lie in wait in those small islands, just waiting for a ship to pass them by. Over the mountains lie the old lands. There are ancient kingdoms, and even older cities, in the old lands.
