If you will look in the archives at www.actorsite.com, here at www.wolfesden.net you will find many purported horror stories regarding this "teacher", her company, her track record in Seattle, and her continued performance in L A. You may wish to access her website's chat board by clicking on the "Young Performers Network" and starting a thread about the value of her "Super Saturday workshops"

"We have a few spaces available in our upcoming Super Saturday on AUGUST 2 because our regular kids are still out of town or working, etc. so this is a good time for those who haven't done a showcase to give it a try.
We have casters from the following shows attending this Saturday from 3:30- 5:30 p.m.

AMERICAN DREAMS, WEST WING, SHE SPIES, STARGATE

The fee is $95.00 and includes a workshop on Thurs or Friday to prepare for the showcase. We try to get everyone up twice if they are adequately prepared with contrasting material and the casters provide written feedback that is extremely helpful to the performers.

First and foremost it should be obvious to all of us that many, many children and teens book shows like "West Wing, "Stargate" and "She Spies" each and every day. After all these shows are obviously "G" rated children's shows. Second, if you examined DonnaJeanne's track record you will find a very rich history. And . . .possibly if you stop by her house you might find a number of out of state children residing there temporarily. I would presume that the living conditions are fabulous and that DonnaJeanne's daughter is doing a great job teaching and keeping house for this paying menagerie. Interesting, one of my best friends may be the city councilwoman for that district. Possibly a housing inspector should be summoned. I have a whole catalogue of horror stories concerning this company and when we last visited this issue her chat room was disconnected and her website suddenly was being "revised" for a few months. Obviously, she is back up and scamming . . sorry, I meant running (I couldn't find the delete button).

Hmmm ....in looking through the site further I found another disturbing element - the very preferred photographer. Below is a post about her.

"Carrie See is the photographer used most by YPS kids and is preferred by several agencies. She charges $165 a roll and that includes negatives and 4 x 6 inch proofs. She will also shoot 2 or 3 kids on one roll and it is amazing how many great shots a kid can get with only 18 taken. Her number is 818-972-9827

Obviously it is amazing one roll of film equals $330 to $495 and that this photographer is that good. That could become the new industry standard.

I could go on but I am so saddened by people constantly being taken advantage of - do me a favor, though. It would be nice if some of you meander on over to www.youngperfomers.net and talk to the parents on their chatboard. It would be further helpful if some of the readers could file complaints with your local L A city councilperson for this address and mention possible children being housed in the same district as well.

Finally, as an acting school she may be taking advance fees and/or acting in violation of the DLSE guidelines for this workshop. I don't see the standard disclaimers posted anywhere on her site.
