I used HSS for a few months. I did not have the wrist pain that a few have reported but I did have the hook problem as I got more relaxed with the swing.

Eventually I began to rotate the grip weaker to stop the hook and when it got to the right point I foind I was back in what was pretty much a NG grip.

It was good however to know that I was never going to see a slice:-) My distace was the same as with NG and CG.

HERE is a pointer to the page of a individual that was a great proponent of HSS. Unfortunately the links to the photos are gone but perhaps his text will be of interest to those using HSS.

I do think a properly executed HSS is easier on the back than a properly executed NG/IMA swing.
