Peter, tell me more about Snake Eyes. They appear to be more of a components company, now. But, they sold fully assembled clubs at one time, didn't they?

I would think that trying to be "all three" (equipment, instruction, and intellectual property) is a recipe for long term disaster, don't you? Especially at this stage of their business cycle? I'm trying to think of a similar business model, and the only one remotely close appears to be Golf Digest. They've gotten into "branding" accessories, instruction materials, and schools. But, even they have avoided clubs...

IMHO, I can't say I see the value of buying NG clubs, when I can have a guy like Chazman build me a set of irons for $600 less with comparable performance. That's why I think if NG got into components at a slightly higher price point than the competition, they could make a KILLING without many of the headaches. The flip side to that is they lose quality control, and to an extent, control of customer service...
