Triple X sucked!

God, it sucked so bad.

Sure, all the explosions, stunts, and all that were cool... if you're impressed by that stuff.

However, the plot was absurd. Basically James Bond meets Rambo with a twenty first century edge to it.

Here's the movie's view on a citizen's "freedoms" here in America.

The choice:

Go to prison, or fight for your stars and stripes.

Triple X, the guy, is this dude who does all this fantastic stuff to prove a point to the fuck-up's who believe rock music poisons a child's mind and video games take away from education. Triple X's only intelligent line in the movie is in reference to the video game part by saying, "It's the only education we've got."

Which is slightly true since funds for the drug war has increased by 30% while education has gone down 18%. It shows a real priority problem.

Later, these government guys take him off to be a secret agent, and he sees all this fucked up shit going on by a fake pre-terrorist group, in Russia, called "Anarchy '99."

"Anarchy '99."

"Anarchy '99?"

"Anarchy '99" -- it's plan is to destroy all the major cities in the world with biological weaponry.

Yeah, that's what I've been talking about this whole time!

Destroy!

Kill!

NO!

Most of the anti-war, anti-flag, and anti-government people are actually peaceful activists who simply want what they've been told they have. And except the responsibility that comes along with freedom.

But, that part of the movie doesn't really explode in your face as corporate propaganda.

Then it kind of gradually climbs up the latter of propaganda when Triple X says things like, "I used to pull stupid stunts for no real reason. Now I know what I'm fighting for."

Ugh!

Ugh!

Uuuuuuuugggggggghhhhh!!!

That's not verbatim, but it's basically what he said.

Fighting a fake pre-terrorist group is more important than education?

Oh, come on. Let's be serious.

Even more so. Fighting a fake pre-terrorist group is more important than trying to get rid of slave camps in Cambodia? Fighting a fake pre-terrorist group is more important than thousands of people being thrown out of work due to business scams, a tightening economy, and so forth? Fighting a fake pre-terrorist group is more important than fighting real murderous crooked policemen?

That's ridiculous.

The propaganda doesn't blow up in your face until he pops out his last parachute near the end.

And what is it?

It's an American flag colored parachute!

What a damn surprise..

You think if Nazi Germany had the technology to make a similar movie that they would have a big swastika parachute? Oh, I think so.

My point is, is that we need to watch out for things like this.

It's true. For example; eighty five percent of all people believe that when you fall in love it'll be just like the love movies. Or at least they wish it was.

It's what we're being told.

So far I've caught two really underlying messages in movies that are:

Becoming more friendly with Russia. Which I'm not opposed to, at all. I just don't think it's for the right reasons.

Another one that I don't quite understand yet is the new anti-smoking rule in movies. So far I've seen three. I just don't know if it's seriously a concern for health and environment, or something else. Keep your eyes open for that one, as well.

Well, anyway, that's my take on Triple X. I knew it wasn't going to be good, and I knew it was going to be full of propaganda. I just didn't think it was going to be that blatant.
