Anybody 'member me?

Hey Lona, Serpie, et al., what's up?

Yah...it's that damn cat again, somebody should shut the door, keep strays out... ;)

Life's been all shook up, but the waters are calming, so I thought I'd wander around, see what's up with y'all. (I'm rather proud of my mixed metaphors.)

I know, I haven't been around in awhile. I've actually lurked on and off during my absence. The main reason I don't post is sheer impatience - this board moves too slow. :( I'm spoiled by fast servers and cable internet, it was bound to happen at some point or another.

Well,..new with me...lots, I guess. I've decided I really and truly hate my job and have decided to quit being a programmer and become an auto mechanic. Nope, that's not a joke...I'll be trading in my glasses and pocket protector for a grease-monkey suit as soon as my schooling is over. I start my first classes next month, and in a couple years I should have a little fistful of certifications and enough experience to land me a decent mechanic's job. :) My family is in shock, nobody can imagine me giving up my cushy home-office for a hot and greasy shop, but it's where I want to be, and the Goddess has been hitting me with enough clue-by-fours for me to be fairly certain this is where I need to be going right now.

Exciting for me, boring for you, likely. Ah well, I'm a boring person lately. *shrug* Boring is a nice change of pace from "frantic" and "stressed" though, so I'm rather enjoying it.

So...that's it. Bleah. I think I bored myself with that post. I'm feeling un-wordy. *scratches head, wonders where "un-wordy" fits into the dictionary*
