Jews, indeed, have been persecuted and blamed for things through-out history. This reminds me of something I was reading awhile back, a story that dates back near the turn of the twentieth century about Jack the Ripper. The English government was blaming the Jews for the Ripper's murders. Basically angry mobs would surround Jewish homes in fear that the Jews were ready to strike back, or something.

It's no wonder that there were Jewish people screaming for change, and trying to warn their brothers and sisters about the soon to be "Holocaust."

Of course, they wouldn't call it that until it happened. But, a few number of them knew that something was about to go down that was going to be huge; those who were fed up with the prejudice and all the non-sense. Something was bound to happen.

Hitler planned it perfectly. He started taking away rights, guns, changing laws, and gaining power. Why did Germany lose WW1? It's the Jews' fault! What other group of people could he have justifiably killed during that time period -- to actually make the people believe that what he was doing was right? Before that, this wouldn't have sounded so insane if people would have taken notice of the warning signs. Some did and some wrote it off as nothing more than hysteria or conspiracy theory.

Through-out history we see this. Some older Native Indians didn't trust the Spanish and English, and were right. They warned their brothers and sisters about the English and Spanish settlers, but they wouldn't listen.

What's happening now? Civil rights are being taken away, and my children will think that "privacy" was a myth. We (the people) have incomplete data when it comes to FBI files. The courts said that we had a right to view them, but can we read them? Forget it! If you've ever taken a look at some FBI files at your library, or on the internet, you will notice that sentences are blacked out, and some pages, all together, are blacked out. That takes an awful lot of work.

I can't give a faceless government the benefit of the doubt when it is that government ran "by the people, for the people." This concept can't be a thing of the past.
