Although my feelings are not as strong on the subject, I do agree with Keith on some issues. Instead of trying to repair the past by paying off the oppresed. Learn from the past. I apologize for the cliche but don't repeat it. Acknowledge what happened in the past, and don't allow for things to continue in the future. I don't believe that monetary reparation are the answer. A public apology and a museum or monument wouldn't hurt but it certaining doesn't make up for what happened.
