A young servant of 13 emerges from from the shadows near the piano, holding a dusting rag. A tiny girl of 4 follows her, the older one's sister. Seeing the prince dancing with an invisible partner, she gasps and tries to hide in the shadows. The little girl, not reconizing the prince, lets out a small squeal of delight. "Oh Scarlett, look!" She xeclaims to her older sister. "Mellody!" Says Scarlett in alarm, hoping the prince had ceased to hear.
