The wingli lifts a brow, again, slowly uncrossing his arms. "His little friend -- the furry little monster you let him keep."

His voice holds some scorn, but not much. He was pretty well over the incident, but it remained fresh in his mind. Then, however, he remembers something he'd meant to tell her earlier.

"That's right. He also made a new friend, some little thief boy named Blank. That's who he wanted to meet. I think I did the 'fatherly' thing by not allowing him to go, butI don't exactly control his mind. I'm beginning to worry."

He stops, a jolt of surprise mentally striking a blow to his head. He'd not just said that...had he? It seemed...awkward. A quiet thought reminds him that he was a father, but...
