Bill, Your exactly right. The increase in entry fee is to increase the interest of more people. I live in the Wichita area and have heard from several people that they are not interested in spending the time or money to fish a tournament where the payout would only equal their cost in going. And its not just people from the Wichita area, with Wilson kinda being out in the middle of no where. In my opinion the entry fee being raised to $40 is not that much of an increase when you consider that it had stayed at $25 for over 10 years. Your point of these changes could make the club really take off, was brought up often over the last few months. One has also said it will cause a drop in membership. Not everyone will be pleased with these changes, but i hope they realize all the changes made are for the best interest of the club. I have heard of one sponsor all ready picked up for the 2004 year but cannot announce it as of it as the details are still being worked out. It took less then 48 hrs to pick up the clubs first sponsor. I think that is great news.
I have your email address now and you will be added. Jack reads this board all the time and he will add you to his also i'm sure. It was pointed out to me in a round about way so to speak, that i don't send emails out to enough of the membership. Well i have said in the past that if you wanted added to the list you have to send me your email address. Just as you have done Bill, Thank you.
