Subject: A warning for the faint hearted

Warning - do not play with Japanese fire extinguishers at parties last Saturday night, even if there is a fire (albeit a small one) as they happen to be filled with a nasty pink powder which gets up your nose and all over your boots and they have the nasty feature of emptying the *entire* cannister all in one shot... and it takes hours to clean the shit up....

And they make you pay for it after...
The princely sum of 600 (that would be A$8)

And everyone laughs at you too. Which is less than nice considering that my actuions were based on experience based authority of the 'I went to high school too once' kind, meaning that I *knew* how fire extinguishers worked - well, Australian ones at least... leaving me somewhat surprised by the behaviour of this one.

sigh,

But I have annother mission to keep me out of trouble for the rest of the week (Jared, you'll appreciate this one)
It's called the Kokubuncho Passport and Kokubuncho being that notoriously club and Hostess bar filled stretch of Sendai, the passport gives holders one free entry *and* drink at 44 listed clubs in the region, between Sun 9th and Thur 13th, all for the Princely sum of.... 1000!

That's right Folks!, $15, less than two fire extinsuishers and considerably more fun.

Episode one occurred on Subnday night where Leah and myself took on the town, and despite starting *after* 10:00 we hit 15 places that night. Mission Party no.2 'The Boys, lead by 'The-other-Australian' had a head start of over an hour on us, but we managed to maintain our dignity by beating them - Girls lead 15-10.

To up the odds, Leah and i find ourselves having to admit that neither of us can actually make it back into town until WEDNESDAY NIGHT - when we have plans to start earlier (6) and knock over a casual minimum of 20 in one night (no classes thursday) which should leave us on a total of 35, and only committed to 9 for the following night to get the lot done.

Sounds like fun, ne?

luv
s.
