The sex scene: Bloody hell. What was that even there for? Did they think we wouldn't work out they were together if they didn't bump uglies for as long as it takes someone to eat a Subway six-inch (I know, I checked)? It didn't have anything to do with anything, and it's not like there was even enough on show to make a 'Reeves and/or Moss get their kit off' scene.
The effects seemed to pendulate between rocking and stinking. The first time round, I remember bullet-time being used to show the close calls or particularly exciting and tense bits. This time (except for the very cool explosion) they just seemed to stop and slow down any old scene at random.
The fight between Neo and all the Smiths started very well, but when the third wave rushed in, they did remind me a bit too much of the Keystone Kops. (Heh. 'Me, me, me.' 'Me too.')
OK, the Architect. That whole scene was a wank.
Did Zion pour all their money into traffic control? That was a gleaming white room with clean everything and shiny new computer technology, and lovely uniforms...whereas everyone else's stuff was straight from the peasant bin and they all seemed to live in a dirty big pumphouse or something.
Arrgghh! Another Australian actor with an American accent for no reason!

No, I think I enjoyed it, though the last bit seemed less of a cliffhanger than taking the story as far as it could go before the film ran out. Some bits confused me, but I thought it was a movie voucher well spent. Though after seeing the trailer for The Matrix Revolutions, I find it a curious thought that in a few years' time we'll be routinely attaching 'Trilogy' to the title 'Matrix', the same way we do with Star Wars, Back to the Future and so on.
