Jeff Garbaz is a photographer, multi media artist, musician and concert projectionist. He has shot film and photos of about 1000 musicians, celebrities and artists since 1998. His company Garbaz.com has produced about a dozen successful events in the past 2 years, nearly selling out each and every production. He has contributed to the arts in the city Buffalo by organizing free concerts and events such as “the Happening” series and the “Trip the Lights Fantastic” series. He has coordinated and organized sold out charitable events such as a benefit to raise money and awareness to re-open the Allendale Theatre, a Buffalo Theatre of Youth venue.
Jeff has been very busy in the past year building his reputation as the man to go to when it comes to large screen concert visuals and multi media. Using an array of visual and video effects, he has been enhancing concerts, events and festivals with quality digital video production projected on a large screen using the same visual effects you see the top acts in the world use. He has entertained over 80,000 people in the past year with a mix of live feeds, multi media and mind-blowing graphics. Jeff has been designing stages since 1989. He have recently projected live feeds and graphics for Three Dog Night in front of 5000 people, and has worked with and shared the stage with such artists as Derek Trucks, Fishbone, Jerry Garcia Band, Pork Tornado (with Jon Fishman), the Bemus Pops featuring members of the Buffalo Philharmonic, Bernie Worell and the Woo Warriors, Lake Trout, Treble Charger, Universal Honey and many other national and international acts. He has experience projecting visuals and live feeds for everything from a philharmonic concert to a rave and literally a dozen genres of music in between. Jeff has experience shooting festival documentaries and presenting them the same day as he edits film on the fly.
From behind the camera, he has had the pleasure to so many different types of artists and celebrities. Jeff’s work has been in national magazines as well as CD and album covers, magazine and book covers, posters, post cards and tons of advertisements. His portfolio currently contains about 150,000 photos. His photos are on hundreds of web pages. His work appears in print just about every other week, mostly in the Buffalo News and Artvoice magazines as well as many other magazines and newspapers. As a graphic designer Jeff creates a weekly ad for Artvoice magazine, and is the web master and host of about a dozen websites.
“My objective is to use photography and multi media to synthesize an eclectic vision with technical vigor. My mind is locked in side Photoshop and I welcome digital photography, not only is it economical to my clients but also it helps utilize my creativity to ultimately crystallize the essence of the moment. I create portraits and shoot film that reveal the subject, showing not only the physical, but the what's on the inside as well. Nothing is more gratifying to me then to capture the personality and soul of my subject, whether in my studio, on location or live performance.”
His work is well documented and can visited at www.garbaz.com.
