Okay...if anyone knows of any leads for private, corporate or government funding possibly available to us, kindly pass on any info you may have. Erica is on the search for new ideas as well.
PassionPlace has never accepted any government funding, to date, but will head that route for our 5 year plan to gain a permanent location and build our arts complex facilities.
Meanwhile, we have always relied upon the kindness of fond art afficianados and of strangers....so....
Anyone you may know or know of who may be interested in being a sponsor/donor may contact me for any necessary paperwork.
We are a not-for-profit incorporation under 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) since 1992 and all contributions are tax deductible.
For any purchases made by any PassionPlace member for reimbursement, please be aware that I have sales tax exempt status forms to be supplied to the merchant before making any purchases. All receipts (or invoices) must also be obtained and clearly marked with date of purchase, itemized purchases noted and place of sale, otherwise I have a bookkeeping nightmare..., por favor!
We will also be soliciting advertising in our prorgram in order to raise funds, so if you know of any establishment or individual who wishes to place an ad or tale out a space with words of encouragement, please contact me or Erica for ad rate info.
Please don't feel obliged to assist in the fundraising campaign as part of PassionPlace - but I will say this:
If the spirit moves you at any given moment, PLEASE feel free to represent! If you're at a party and someone seems as though they may be the right candidate to offer assistance in any way - or if they own a shop or organization that seems to support the arts - please let them know about our quest!
We also encourage BARTERING!!!! If folks want to donate goods or services in exchange for performing a piece at their venue, perform a reading (staged or sit-down) of one of their works, ad space and/or tickets, etc... please encourage it! Let them know about us and us about them!
