so she goes

alone she sits
in her whirlpool of apprehension
ripples of hopelessness slice her thoughts
into shreds of anguish
his face drowning beneath her

with paralyzed limbs
she can�t save the apparition he has become
his dark eyes swirl into oblivion
her curdling screams
detonate her desolation

the gloom that she wore
smothers her
muffles her whimpers
anxious eyes searching, searching
for a remnant of him
a mere relic in her despondency

clawing her own flesh
gouging rivers into her soul
begging him to be absorbed into her once again
murky red waters
vision blurred as she submerges
inhaling memories of dejection

filling her lungs with his discarded unholy water
final immersion
exhaling final words
and he hears her
and he reaches
and she sees
and she knows

that she loved him only out of desperation
so she goes�
