I'm sorta in a funny mood,
I feel alright, but don't feel great.
I feel tired and worn inside
although I didn't stay up late.

I feel as though I've won a fight...
Winning, meaning that I still breathe.
I feel a stirring of something not quite right.
Barbed wire hangs on my heart like a wreath.

My computer kept stalling when I clicked on links.
Telemarketers kept calling trying to sell me crap.
Limbs kept falling out of my tree into my nice yard.
I feel like saying "Aw, screw it!" and runaway on the map.

My iguana kept clamoring for attention.
But, behind that green face lies very vicious teeth.
They look cute when they are little babies...
Even though veggies, I think he craves the taste of meat.

The junk mail filled my mailbox today
both, outside, and on this computer.
The sweeper acted up and the blinds need dusted...
I think that I may end up calling Roto Rooter.

Everyday annoyances flying around like pesky bees.
You know sooner or later that you will be stung.
Wouldn't it be nice to say "screw it for a day"
and let those hassles be temporarily done?

But, life moves on and we must face this fact.
Things can be good and then can be worse.
How we perceive things that come to us in life
depends which end that we see first.
