Subject: Hey Upset Student - No Game on Tee Vee In The Dorms Author: Conecerned Alumni [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 13:55:34 02/21/03 Fri Here is what we tried to do: 1) We tried to have the game on TV at the Titan Club. We had no one to open the TC room up at 11 PM on Saturday. 2) Tried to have the game on over in Student Life. They said no one would show up. 3) Tried to have the game on at the dorms. They were all for the idea, however, this is where we found the real problem. PAX TV is blacked out on ALL the cable stations throughout the school. Apparently UDM cut a deal with a cable provider to have certain stations blacked out in order to lower the price of cable in the dorms. Hey we tried, and I'd love to invite you too my house to watch the game, but my wife would get a little pissed. What I suggest to do is propose a bar in Detroit that has Channel 16 PAX TV and let me know on this board where you guys will be at. I'll buy you the first round of beers.
