Chrestomanci kicked the lid off the coffin, recoiling slightly at the body inside. Strips of flesh hung from rotting bones, and one arm lay across the book.

"Here goes nothing.." He murmered.

He raised his arms, and closed his eyes, using witch sight instead of normal vision, for with witch sight he could see things even his Demonic eyes could not see. The body glowed slightly with what Cat knew to be a curse, having much practice with setting curses himself.

The book trembled, and Cat willed it to rise, his energy building to lift it. The curse upon the body and the whithered hand across the book made it difficult to retrieve it, yet Cat had practiced Enchantments well.

The boom suddenly was against his chest, slamming him backwards into the mud. Keeping the book free of mud he stood, his ego the only thing bruised. The corspe's arm had been pulled off with his spell and it lay in the mud.

"Damn...," Cat hissed, lifting it with a wave of a hand and placing it back within the coffin.
