Subject: Inter-Regional Championships Proposal

Hi everybody

The Northern Canoe Polo Association has recently submitted a proposal to host the NZ Inter-Regional Champs. I have posted the proposal below. Because I am our Region's rep on the NZCPA Executive's Competitions Council, which has a say in deciding whether the proposal should go ahead, I'd be interested in anybody's opinion on the proposal.

RE Northern Canoe Polo Association proposal to host the 2000 Inter-Regional Championships

Northern Canoe Polo Association Incorporated
Proudly hosts the
NZCPA 2000, Inter-Regional Championships

The Northern Canoe Polo Association Incorporated looks forward in hosting this years Inter-Regional championships. Upon the NZCPA Executive's approval, the championships details will be finalised and the invitations will be sent out to the Regional delegates. We will also send an invite to the Australian Canoeing Federation, in hope to see Australian State teams present at these Championships.


The Venue

The NZCPA 2000, Inter-Regional Championships will be held outdoors at the Waimarino Adventure Centre, in Tauranga. This facility is close to local Hot Pools, and lodges. Additionally facilities will be provided at the venue to accommodate the amount of players participating at the Championships.


Boat Storage

There will be space available close to the playing court for storage of all Canoes.

- Registration
- Round Robin commences
- Proposed Championship Function

Sunday 1 October 2000
- Round Robin continues
- Finals
- Prize Giving
- NZCPA Annual General Meeting

Veteran Open (32 years and over at 1 January 2000)
Senior Men (Age open)
Senior Women (Age open)
Youth Men (not older than 22 years of age at 1 January 2000)
Youth Women (not older than 22 years of age at 1 January 2000)
