Sam gave a nod at meeting his sis, trying not to outright laugh as he mentioned looking at his mug, which was far from ugly. That train had missed him, by a mile. ”Ya sure she ain’t tired of having to beat women off ya instead?” Compliment given as she saw the waitress coming their way, though keeping her attention on the man in front of her as he spoke of the cows and their usage. ”Coulda done the same thing with goats, and they have better milk.” Though cows would cut through the muck faster that’s for sure and if they served their usage steaks were far better from a cow than a goat.
He didn’t take the bait from her challenge and Sam had to keep the pout from forming as she nodded, ”Yeah guess yer right, though ya gotta admit the idea sounds fun.” As the beer was set in front of her Sam nodded her thanks, tipping her hat before taking a sip. ”Hope he can fix her, she’s been through hell and back, but the gal has history in her.” The thing was probably as old as she was maybe a little more, depending on what age Sam was going by these days. ”If ya need help in the morning I can help.” She hadn’t had her hand on a horse or cow in some time, she hadn’t thought of the repercussions her request might cause with the animals if they spooked at her scent, but it was too late to take the offer back now.
So instead so took another swig of her beer, letting the liquid moisten her dry throat and calm the itch within for awhile longer.
