The drive through town had brought on more memories than he'd anticipated, and if Laurie Ann hadn't been with him, he knew he'd be taking them hard. They'd shared a lot of happy times in this place, and seeing it all again was almost surreal.

The sight of the club was even more shocking. It had been the main place the crew had congregated, often for drinks and laughing...sometimes for brawling. Angelina had always taken it so well, and he'd admired her always for her patience. He could almost smell the familiar aroma of the place as she parked the Audi.

Offering her a small smile, he takes hold of her hand and gives it a small squeeze. "I am, too." He hadn't thought he'd feel this way upon arrival, but he did. He was scared of seeing what the years had done to the crew, scared to find that their bond had been broken.

His gaze drifted back to the stunning blonde beside him, and he realized that the only bond that mattered was the one he had with the woman he'd made his fiance a decade ago. "We'll tough it out, together." He leaned forward, sealing the promise with a kiss that lingered as he savored the nearness of her.
