The tension that had bubbled up with his request for friendship seemed to pop with an almost tangible sound as he breathed a sigh of relief. She’d never been a hateful person and despite everything she wasn’t about to start it now, not with someone who’d once held her heart in the palm of his hand. There was still the issue of facing Sasha to tell her about Sphinx, though she’d have willed the task to anyone else if she could, perhaps the man himself if she could locate him. ”I don’t know if I want to be here when Sasha finds out about Sphinx.” Obvious worry of how the blonde woman would react evident in her trouble gaze. Though she quickly changed topics back to Desiree for a second. ”Good, because if you are here to give up, there’s the door.” Hand motioning to it, but there was no malice in the words. She simply meant he’d have to give it all or nothing, if he wanted a chance back in the girl’s heart yet alone her life.
Stan’s admission that Memphis could probably alert Sway to her whereabouts and past, caused Angelina to arch a finely manicured eyebrow, though she didn’t say anything about it for now. ”Well hopefully he can, because as it was when I left, she…wasn’t at all sure who this Sway persona was.” Lip chewed on again, nervous habit as she waited for him to accept or deny the other’s presence.
”Thank you!” Words breathed as she impulsively threw her arms around him in a hug and gave a quick peak to his cheek. She didn’t know why she’d done it but by the time she realized she had, it was too late to take back. So instead she hopped out of the seat and headed towards the back of the bar and hallway, tossing their used glasses in the sink as she went. ”I’ll be back in a minute with the ladies.” And with that she was out of the bar area and into the hallway, climbing the stairs to confront the two women and invite them downstairs to talk with Stan…and anyone else who might appear.
