He watched as Toby stalked over to Memphis and Nancy, watchful that he younger man didn't get leveled for interfering. It seemed to be going well enough though, so he turned back to making sure everyone's glass stayed full. For tonight, it seemed booze was the key to keeping it quiet...and kissing, apparently. Angelina was deep in converasation with Laurie, and from the looks of things, it was 'girl talk'...which he was not going to intrude on.
As Memphis apologized, he shook his head. "What you did was rotten, Memphis. But we're all under a lot of strain. Just pull up a stool and make peace." He was a bit more at ease seeing the the other man's relaxed posture. And it seemed that at least for the time being, he and Nancy had bridged the gap. Re-connections were happening all around, it seemed. He wondered if Tumbler and Sphinx were had found peace with their partners as well.
The others had it easier...only Sphinx woul truly understand his plight. When children were involved, it made the deed that was done that much worse, that much more painful. For lack of anything better to do, he took an empty glass from the bar, dumping the remaining ice before proceeding to wash it. Better to keep busy than to think of the painful things. This was a fragile time, and he needed to keep positive.

He smirked at the two, knowing the feeling that must be passing between them...at least, to a degree. He was feeling it with Laurie...and was anxious to get back to her side. "Man, just stop tryin to make everyone want to kill you." To Nancy, he grinned. "Time to get that leash, I think. Hold 'em tight." With that, he sauntered back over to Laurie, feeling rather pleased with himself. He slid back onto his chair. "Yeah, just call me Dr. Phil. It's all good." He chuckled, placing his hand on the small of her back.
It the occured to him that he'd interrupted Laurie and Angelina's talk...he'd heard something about tickets, and about him loving her. He didn't know about the first, but he knew lots about the second. "Damn straight I love you by the way." He grinned and then looked at Angelina, getting serious. "You must be half crazy with all the old ruffians back around here. Sorry for the craziness." He gave her a lopsided grin.
