He was tempted to order another drink..but he wasn't at the club to drink-he was here to look for work. He took a deep breath and slowly stood up, intentionally taking his time so he could check out the place. Before leaving, he opened up his wallet and pulled out a twenty, setting it on the counter and flashing a smile at the barmaid. He knew if he could befriend the staff, he would have an easier time meeting people and finding some new work. He sighed..it was time for a smoke..he thought to himself. Always a great way to meet people..and potential business partners. Mike eased his way through the crowd and out the doors to the cold brisk air outside. It was so much more quiet outside after having been exposed to the roar of the club. Not too far away from the entrance he saw a small huddle of smokers. Mike headed that way as he pulled his pack of menthols out of his cargo pocket and grabbed a smoke. He had a lighter on him..but what better way to open up a conversation then asking for a light.
