Here's my short version; 1st It's "fuel for the fire" not fuel to the fire. If you listen to the song over 500 times as I have, my impression is that it's about all the gulf war shit that was going on back in 1991-1992, about oil, war, and Saddam trying to annex Kuwait. To me it's a patriotic song. As un-fortunate as it is, the USA and our allies need oil to survive in our present and future economic climate. As the USA is the peace keeper of the world, lives will be lost in order to protect this one aspect that keeps our economy and our daily routines so "routine." Sorry but this is a FACT! There is always sorrow and hurt when we lose lives as a country in war, but the fact of the matter is that if we don't destroy dictators like Saddam things will become much worse. I know Bush Sr. says we went there with a particular mission in 1991-92 to liberate Kuwait ONLY. Thats fine, but in hind- site we should have done more. Look at the mess we are in now. This song still rings true today and I hope EXODUS will play it live again soon! Truly one that needs to be played!!!
