"Oh that's such a comforting thought... living while the rest of the world wallows in idiocy for voting for the mooching fucker... Well, I guess that's fine. After all, what's better than a little year-lasting laugh at the underworld?" He nodded off to his comment and yawned, resting his elbow on the armchair and his cheek on his soft palm. It nearly lulled him to sleep, it did.

Bodiss was turned to face his and appendages were drawn out in front, clapping them together loudly by his ear. ::

His eyes blasted open, a cringe on his lips as he gradually turned his miffed self to face Adina. He snorted, and pushed himself with lethargic movements upward, still leaning back against the chair recumbently. He snorted again, thinking of nothing else to do or say. "Well that's good. Of course, the damn South still got what they wanted. Oh well. Shit happens. This will be a screw in their brains in the future, four years with the moron... it's a sadistic, lovely thought, though."

He snorted and shrugged. "Personally, the idea doesn't titillate a thing for me. Anarchy is... I don't know, shall I say short-sighted? There are far too many people dependent on someone to do the dirty work for them in this world. It can't be helped. I just wish we had someone who had a good cause for being president, as for good intentions with good plans for those who are depending on them. It's in the human psyche. Dependence," He sidetracked for a moment, looking at the floor with a faraway expression. Then he continued. "Everyone knows they'd like to have it, even if they don't admit it ever. Simple as that. Check out Clinton. He was a good president. He was just too dependent on fat intern sex." He laughed concisely.

...Blonde hair trails behind, and aquamarine gaze moves around the hall. Something is different, Celeste looks pale and irritated, not at all vibrant as usual. Some natural beauty shone through, but she hadn't put any effort into her appearance this morning. First a small smile appears on her face, the same one that was always plastured there in mock curvurture when Celeste saw Julian from behind, She was about to sneak up on him and perform her regular routine of putting her hands of her his eyes and saying 'guess who, handsome', but then she frowned. She remembered the library, and shook her head. She'd have to restrain herself. She moves next to Adina and begins to speak, "Hey, what are you up to?" she asked to her newly found friend, (or most recent acqaintance). She smiled meekly, and her gaze moved to Julian, and the eyes glittered...with desire? No. Not this time, not today, today they were fogged with regret and longing. "Julian" she said nodding before sitting down and beginning to...bite her nails? What the hell? Celeste bite her nails? Very weird. Very wrong. Very out of place. Her oh-so-perfect-divine-grace-teen-dream-drama-queen essence seemed to have escaped with her sanity. Celeste didn't even look worthy standing next to Adina and Julian, and somehow she felt she wasn't either...

He smiled brilliantly at her, tossing his hair back, a friendly grin smothering across his face. "You're looking more lovely than usual, Celeste," He said, honest. There was something about women being naturally beautiful that made them shine brighter. Perhaps it was because it was the closest most will ever get to being truthful. He toned his grin down, reaching over Adina and tucking Celeste's nearly-undone, yet still wonderful looking hair, behind her ear affectionately, sitting back. "Care to join our enlightening conversation about the evils of the world and the government?"

...Celeste had been dwelling on some agonizing moment of self-pity, very silly. Even so she snapped out of it for a minute while Julian complemented her on her appearance. Raising one slender eyebrow she spoke, "Lovely? More lovely than usual? Julian I haven't done anything to myself...I didn't fix my hair, my face, anything" she said disbelievingly. And then she felt him tucking her hair behind her ear and wondered what he was up to now, she really needed to figure him out already. "Evils of the World and goverment?" she questioned and thought for a moment. "Well I think it's a good thing we've got Bush for this whole terrorist thing, I'm on his side totally." she said and then looked form face to face. "Your not George bush-haters are you?" she asked suspiciously, her face turning back to the window.

Julian stared at her, mock surprised. Feeling silly and immature, he began to cough falsely into his fisted hand, brow raised bewilderedly at her. He stopped after nearly coughing his brains out and smiled innocently. "Of course not, lovely. It's not hate," He said, snickering. "It's merely the biggest dislike for a human being that I've had in a while." He took this time to look around, acknowledging the people within the Gatherplace, pointing out the ones that have glared at him as if he were some patron of evil. Well I know Sora doesn't particularly have it bad for me, considering how seriously she took my joke. Come to think of it, I sort of meant it, wanting to hear her. Anyway, the boy with Sora, Danny? Daniel, maybe? Had somewhat taken it to himself to notice how badly she didn't like me. I take it I've become a bad guy to those sensitive in the school. Julian sighed at his introspection. Pity for them. Blankly he said, "You look better without anything on your face, Celeste."

..."How can you say that about him? The man is doing everything he can, I'm sure he didn't expect this in his presidency, besides would you really rather have Gore? I wouldn't mind having Clinton again...but I think Bush is doing just fine, besides if muggles knew anything about wizards we could stop the whole the whole thing by going on a mad killing curse spree". Julians wonderings left a gaping silence where Celeste just began to dwell on the past days in her mind again, and was thankful for Julians voice that had pulled her away. "In your opinion, I guess it would take some getting use to if it was apermanent thing, not like it makes much difference people are still giving me the same old evil look. Stupid people. Besides I feel naked".

He sighed. He wanted to say something, but it would all end up riddled, he knew that. Instead he nodded and laughed, with bits and pieces of, "Yeah, I agree" mumbled blankly. When she referred to herself and his advice for her to remain natural, he took it in. Nobody was naked in person. Everybody wore a veil because everybody needs a veil because everybody needs somebody. The first somebody they turn to is the person they create to make them who they are, without being themselves. He nodded. "A lot of people have been discriminating against me lately. I wonder just why? It's funny, don't you think, how they hate us because of the status other people give us... because of labels. It irks me when people act all toughy and non-mainstream. It's not like they have a choice where and not to live when they're fucking twelve and seventeen years old. It gets tiring, doesn't it? They just continue on discriminating because everyone isn't fucking like them."

"Hah!" He said out loud bitterly, noting Adina's quiet but not minding. "More than fucking ever, lovely," With a roll of his eyes he surveyed around, hand flinging out with the swivel of his cranium. "Everybody seems to want a piece of the pride you get with popularity. Everybody wants to talk to you to humiliate you just so they can prove that somehow, they're more superior than you ever were. They look for weak spots in your character, acting like some mad scientist obsessed with trying to overthrow you when in the presence of other people, including the selves they'd like to be. Honestly, I don't think you should care. If these people don't like you, they don't have to. Noone ever asked them to, just like anyone who likes you. It isn't a forced thing. It just happens. I think people need to understand that," He stopped, contemplating her from where he sat. He then looked around one more, an apathetic, stoic dullness to his observation. "I'd like for one person to just talk to me and talk to me, without giving a shit for my status, and from then make an opinion of me. But it's awful hard when the people you're in school with are people like these." He turned to Celeste, an apologetic grin playing recordedly on his face. "Sorry for that, I guess the sociologist-philosophist took over there. Hopefully though, you understood what I was trying to get across... I'm hoping at least one person will see it."

"I use to do it all the time, rate people, even you..." she said glancing at Julian, silently apologizing. "It's just it won't matter in the end who you were friends with, who was the star athlete...it isn't going to matter. Sure you might be recognized, but where will that get you? Everyone is going to remember how snobby you were, how snobby I was, and I don't see anything changing that. It's a little too late to change my whole personality, to be someone worth knowing. But i can try, not like it makes much difference. I see what your saying but...I care what they think, I was pretty awful, but I don't want to be treated like I was anymore. I'm tired of wlaking these halls like I own them, like I get a special prize for being well-known and pretty..." she said and looked down at her hands. Giving a second glance around the cafeteria she raised her eyebrows at Julian, "That's it" she said kind of laughing. Celeste stood up on her chair and put her hands around her mouth, yelling as loud as she could, "Take a picture it lasts longer!!!!!". Getting back down on the chair she was laughing as well as rolling her eyes, looking around the cafeteria at the stunned people, "Oh...I feel so much better now" she laughed. Pulling up a second chair she crossed one leg over another in the air and set them on the chair, "They always said i got whatever I wanted. Well today Celeste wanted to scream, and today I got what I wanted.." she said normally. Her voice raised in mid-sentence then, "And just for your information.." she looked at Jlian and then Adina, then turned her head, "I don't get everything I want" her eyes rested on Julian. No, not everything she thought...

...Celeste began to count the people giving her an evil eye, still listening to Julian. As she turned around and patiently heard the and patiently heard the end she frowned slightly. "There 36 people staring at me, looking at me like I commited murder. I just want to stand up and yell, stop it. I use to like all eyes on me, being the center of attention, but I guess I never realized the look I was receiving. I don't want to be a stereotype anymore" she said seriously. She looked around, and she kept seeing people turn around, some didn't bother, and new faces appeared. She bit her lip and sighed, "1...2...3..." she counted under her breath, "Don't scream...don't scream..." she gave herself a little pep talk. She looked at Julian an gave a small laugh, "Ever want to scream?" she asked...

He sat back, taking in everything that escaped her lips. As soon as she stood up, Julian felt a burdened fear for what Celeste was supposed to do until she merely screamed her frustration out. He started to laugh with her, the feeling of relief running like rivers inside him. The laughter seemed to free what's never really allowed to be freed. An off-guard Julian. He found, lately, he was beginning to be more off-guard. Everything seemed to happen in a rush of unecessary drama. Drama he found... he didn't want. This would be the last day anyone would ever happen upon Julian like this. The sympathetic character would be drained of this something that he knew was affecting him.

He stopped his tittering and suddenly his carefree attitude caved in and sunk in the pits of his stomach. His words came out coated with the acid that engulfed his interior freedom. His fists balled and he looked across the room. "What we don't deserve, we don't get... and if by some fucktwist-of-fate you do, you'll never keep it." He rolled his head back and finally let it rest on his shoulder, eyes still far across the room, but his stare was blank. It was dull and grey. "Thou shalt find that I'll resume the shape which thou dost think I have cast off forever," He murmured whimsically. "We'll always come back to who we are, no matter what we say..."

...Things were fine for about 5 minutes. The laughing...she felt so unchained. SHe felt GREAT! It was better than worrying about who was watching. But then Julian seem to break her happiness, break her liberation. She glared at him, her face turning red, anger in ehr eyes. If Julian could play this game, this resistance, well she could too, she was vulnerable by her own account. She was submissive to him, but if he had to be so awful about it...fine. Exactly how she felt...fine. Exactly what she said so hatefully 5 seconds later, "Fine!". "I'm not one to decide what I deserve.." she said angrily. And then her voice turned soft, as her eyes watered, "But I didn't deserve that" she said and wiped a tear away before running off...

He bolted up, blinking. What the hell? Had she taken that the wrong way, or was it him? He'd simply been angry about the fact that it was right, it wasn't like he was directing it at her... His body fought for some reaction. Should he go up to get her? Should he care? Should he be spiteful that it was her fault she took it the wrong way? He stood up and became oblivious to anything but the radiating steps she had taken to get away from him. His feet carried him like a wraith to the door, hands grasping the side that remained closed as he leaned against it, hearing some faint echo of crying in his head.

Crying? Tears were irrelevant to his being. There were never any tears that mattered. He rested his body tiredly on the edge and looked toward the direction he knew she had run off to. Celeste, Celeste, he said in his head. Whatever did you mean by that?

Yeah, okay, he's ignorant even if he knows. He chose to be. He is!

I am!
