My main memories connected with this ep is that it's the first one in which Mulder looks flat-out *SEXY*!!! He never looked bad, of course, but in the early season one eps he seemed to be treading the line between "geeky" and "sexy". In this ep, he drops the "geeky" part and just goes for major-league-drool-inducing. When he's wearing the black shirt and the jeans. . .whoo!!!
It also seems to be the first ep where Mulder and Scully are totally comfortable with each other. . .like when she goes into the kitchenette of the motel room where he's staying and starts rooting around his refrigerator.
