Subject: Good book! I wan't more!
In reply to: CW--OK--here's my take on your analysis, Rabid 's message, "This episode was like the last chapter of a VERY good book--leading into the next book of the series. IMHO" on 08:29:07 05/20/02 Mon

CSM reminded me of the Tall Man in the Phantasm movies. Pure evil. Also, since I'm still a little confused as to how he betrayed the aliens or WHY he wanted Mulder to live and fail, he parallels the Tall Man (WHY is the tall man sucking people into his other world?). I hoped that after Requiem, CSM was dead. No more bringing back dead people, but I really enjoyed how they did this, and how he eventually dies. I'm glad Krycek is really dead, too, just because I'm tired of all these resurrections!

I think I'm more heartsick than anyone else over the loss of William. We'll never see Mulder as a father, and of course all day I've been all weepy eyed when I see dad's talking to their kids:( I've been chanting the mantra, "It's just a tv show. It's just a tv show" all day! Aaah! Why couldn't Scully just give Will to her brother Bill to raise? Or why couldn't Mulder take him to New Mexico?

I hope future storylines go like this:

Somehow, M&S end up in Wyoming and run into Will and family, when he's 4 or 5. He knows he has another mommy and daddy so he understands who M&S are. Then it turns into an open adoption sort of thing. M&S get to play with him, correspond with him and go to his school plays and little league games and watch him grow up, but they can go off to save the world and leave Will in a safe place.

Or I can see them somehow finding him when he's about 12, about 2012, during/after the alien invasion. His family needs help, somehow M&S got world of where he was, or they heard of a special kid who was calling for them or "just knew" he needed them. Maybe his adoptive parents died, or they are sick from alien viruses or injuries from battle.

Somehow, they have to reunite. Somehow, the fact they have/had a child cannot be ignored. When I first heard that CC was quoted in a magazine saying that, "For all intents and purposes, William is gone" and that for the next movie, they couldn't have a toddler tagging along for a standalone MOTW, I was pissed. That made it sound as though M&S would go off and live in their own apartments separately as if nothing had happened so CC could write a standalone, like he first started the show out to be, as individual cases not an ongoing storyline/myth.

Last night after I watched the finale, somewhere I saw CC had also said that they didn't wan't to endanger the child anymore. That made me feel better. William wasn't given up to be saved from the supersoldiers (as we all thought they'd find him no matter where he was, or that his adoptive parents were SS themselves) but that M&S can't save the world and protect him at the same time, and they can't protect him from powers that be that go after and attack M&S at any moment.

The kiss. Holy *^&*^%^%^^!!!!!!!!

I loved how Mulder saw dead people. He learned of the LGM's death the hard way, although I loved how he tried to hide his "stuff" when he first noticed them! I love how they can still be around:)
