I had trouble following this ep. That may be because there are currently two 18 year olds in my house. I didn't tape the show because I was taping Alias. Oh, the television programming dilemmas I face!

I've had problems with the whole 'Mulder had to go away in order to keep Scully and William safe' idea from the beginning. I know *I* don't understand why William has to die if Mulder is dead, but not if Mulder is still alive. Clear as mud, IMO.

As for Doggett hearing voices, it hadn't occurred to me that there may have actually been someone in his room, talking to him. I figured it was some telepathic thing going on. I much prefer the idea of someone talking to him. But who? Hmmm.

Like you, Det, I hoped the person in Kersch's office was CSM. That would have been way cool. But no. Instead we get some lumpy-necked guy.
