Very Twilight Zone here, I'd say. The in-between life & death, worked very well. I was not so happy at another hospitalization but this one worked. Also this was another X-Files that comes to them ep, don't think we've seen one of those in awhile.

Scully was a bit of a downer, totally agreeing with the doctor that Monica's case was hopeless. Doggett mentioned something about the doc being a Dr. Death type guy, not Kervorkian but the one in England who liked to kill little old ladies and act like he couldn't save them. But with all the mention of organ donations, it must have been a money thing too.

I compare this one to 4D. My 2 favs so far this season. Scully is such a third wheel when its not mytharc. The D/R relationship seemed possible in 4D. They should give us more details on their past, like where is Mrs. Doggett? Did they divorce? If the show had continued, I fear a drawn out D/R shippiness would have continued. I don't think I would have liked that. Been there, done that. I hope det is right that they get to it sooner.

I wonder how many of these last few were written before or after the news of cancellation. Anyone know at what point the production was when the news came? I fear the 2 hour finale might be a rush job trying to tie it all up. It was claimed the last 5 start the process.
