I liked him in those too. I put a piccy up on the Doggett board. :-D

I thought this episode was pretty decent for the most part. It had some suspense and held my interest. On a second viewing though it didn't seem as well crafted. I guess my reaction was much like Doggett's. A man being able to create a second, evil version of himself is a bit too far fetched for me. Especially with the evil guy being able to be seen and photographed. It's just not possible (unless he's an alien and can morph). But even the aliens couldn't create a dupicate without some help from science. This was just a bit too preposterous.

I thought at the end Monica's theory would turn out to be wrong and there'd be another twist. The episode lost it's suspense when we were already told what the deal was.

But I did like the interraction between all the main people and it was very well shot and creepy looking. Was it just me or did I sense some hot tension between Doggett and Scully when they had their heads together (ducking from, shippers throwing things ;-) ).

My favorite scene was when Doggett and Reyes were talking and Scully was looking at the files in the background. (See photo) Even in the background, Scully is the most commanding force in the room. I thought it was interesting that she kept quiet and let D and R argue. I wonder if she was thinking, "Hmm, they remind me and Mulder and me about 7 years ago!" It seemed to be very telling that she let them 'be partners' and she stayed out of it.

As to whether the eps are better or we like them more because we're near the end, I'd say it's both! Though I heard this ep was intially shot earlier in the season.

I was scared of the prospect of Burt Reynolds being in an episode but it looked pretty funny! My big worry is that it's a CC ep. I hope it's better than Fight Club!
