I didn't really think any part was wholeheartedly funny except maybe Scully shooting the lock off. I put it more in the clever category. The numerology stuff confused me but I figured that was because I know nothing about it. This ep reminded me a little of CC's Syzygy just in the way CC used a 'new age' type interest to tell the story. But that's right, we didn't get an explanation as to why the killer used numerology to choose his victims or if he was doing it on purpose at all. But CC probably likes to give us stuff like that to ponder.

I didn't see it as similar to the Buffy musical. The music here was more peripheral. Intertesting idea about Scully and Reyes stuck in the garage the whole time. That might have been good. I've had this idea that I always wished Mulder and Scully did entire episode where they were stuck in a confined area. An all dialog episode.

I can't help wondering if this ep would have been very different. Funnier? Better? Stranger? If Mulder had been in it. But I still liked it.
