Well, I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I've actually seen all the Doctors, even the storys from the 60s which are incomplete(a four part storyline has only part 2 left for example). There were 7 during the shows run, an 8th on a Fox movie in 96 that failed to create interest in an American made series.

I grew up with the Tom Baker(#4) version and he's my favorite although I like Jon Pertwee(#3) and Peter Davison(#5) a lot too. Hard for me to judge William Hartnell(#1) and Patrick Troughton(#2) as its just too before my time and we can't see their whole eras. Colin Baker(#6) went way over the top, Slyvester McCoy(#7) was improving just as they cancelled the show! McGann (#8) didn't get enough time but he seemed like a good choice.

Companions: My favs were the Brigadier, Sarah Jane Smith, Leela, Ace, Turlough, Nyssa, Jamie. Peri, Mel, Romana #2 were the worst. K9 was kinda silly too.

Depending on where you live in America, you saw more or less of the show. I had PBS stations in Boston and in New Hampshire that both got all 7 Doctors during the 80s when the shows US popularity was at its height. Now, no one shows it any more.

My fav storys were: The Silurians, The Daemons, Genesis of the Daleks, Terror of the Zygons, The Pyramids of Mars, The Seeds of Doom, The Deadly Assassin, The Talons of Weng-Chiang, Warrior's Gate, Logopolis, The Visitation, Earthshock, Snakedance, The Caves of Androzani, The Curse of Fenric. Good names, right?

Recently saw the parody of DW starring Rowan Atkinson, Jonathan Pryce, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley called The Curse of Fatal Death. Very funny!
