Yeah we saw a lot of hitchikers, it was safer back then too- I hitched all over this country after High School -never had an issue. (maybe some minor ones) BUT all in all it was fine.
We picked up a guy after the concert & gave him a ride- he was funny- we laughed & lauged till he went on his way- he told us Tina Turner was flirting with him at a concert he went to becuase he was up front. He said we had to see Tina- plus she was sexy he said- reckon-
We had a small car & could not give any others a ride but another one we lifted just a few miles- EVERONE WAS GREAT- we absolutely had it back then & we were part of history-

I would do it aging anytime & someone should get something together





Hitchiking was the way to get to summer jam. I hitched
