Yeah, I was there also. A few of us drove up from Kenosha to Stevens Point only to find out we had it wrong. The festival was some 30(?) miles east from there in Iola. By the time we got there people were just walking over the make-shift fences that had been pushed down. But yes, it was early Sunday morning(6 or 7 o'clock) when we were awoke by people hollering, "Stay down! Stay down"! I think I do remember hearing the gun shots. Either way, we stayed put for a bit, collected our thoughts, came up with a plan, and got the heck out of there. We were hearing of what was going on as we were making our way out. Other than that,unfortunatly, the whole thing is just a blur now. Kickapoo creek was alot more fun a month earlier. At least I got layed there. lol
