 Hello - great memories! I was on both the above, in both cases with the only Irish (Belfast based) groups which were from Bangor / Belfast / Lisburn.

First one I remember meeting some Scottish people and as far as I recall someone from Newfoundland. We called at Iceland, then to Narvik and Andalsnes. A stop at North Cape had to be omitted because of ice. That was my first cruise, and i think my first time on any sort of boat / ship. I was just turned 15 - in fact, I think I had my birthday on the boat. Next time was when I was 17, flying with Dan Air to Dubrovnik. Then we went (as far as I recall) to Santorini, Antalya (Turkey), Haifa (Israel), Malta over the new year - I think we were there on 3rd or 5th january, bright sunny and freezing! We ended up in Naples, I think, after passing Stromboli at night, which was oozing dull red lava and sparks. Great trip!
