 We set off from Southampton and we were all very seasick in the bay of Biscay. We all walked around with a sick bag tucked under our arms like a handbag. Sitting on deck in a sheltered corner was the only way I could cope. Then I got my sea legs and the sun came out. We never got to go in the pool and time on deck was strictly limited and controlled. Being below decks in a general purpose room was a bit boring. Visiting the Canary Islands was a very exciting experience. Memories remain vivid after all these years. What an experience for a little girl from the Wirral.
