Subject: Sailed on her twice Author: Paul Thornton [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:04:08 09/11/14 Thu Hi, I saw the Uganda last night on BBC South today and it brought back some memories. I first sailed on her in the mid 70's with my school. We flew to Malta then visited one of the Greek Islands, Turkey , Israel and Venice which is where we flew back from. I found myself back on her as a member of HM forces sailing back from the Falklands to Ascension Islands after the conflict. I can remember it being a bit serreal finding myself back on her under totally different circumstances. I even remember locating the dorm and bed I slept in the first tim round.
